Atlantic Plywood is a leading distributor of interior-grade hardwood plywood products, and other related interior specialty wood panel products. The Company’s end market is primarily the commercial building products industry, including architectural woodworkers, store fixture manufacturers, and kitchen cabinet companies.
Transaction Overview
Long Point Capital partnered with the management team to buy out the investments of two private owners who were no longer involved in the business. We created a capital structure to allow Atlantic Plywood to grow through new branch openings and selective acquisitions.
Post-Transaction
Following Long Point Capital’s partnership, Atlantic successfully expanded geographically by acquiring two distribution branches, opening three greenfield distribution branches, and also by adding additional product lines. Long Point Capital sold 100% of the Company to a newly-formed ESOP in a two-step transaction.
