Precision Products Group, Inc. is a leading niche manufacturer of small diameter spiral-wound tubes and cores, as well as specialty packaging, primarily for the electrical insulation, consumer, and medical markets. Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, Precision Products Group targets niche applications that require tight tolerances, unique materials, or difficult-to-produce shapes such as squares or rectangles.
Transaction Overview
Long Point partnered with the management team owners to buy out the former individual owners of the business and to provide a capital structure to grow the business.
Post-Transaction
Following Long Point Capital’s investment, Precision Products Group grew by introducing new products and by acquiring two complementary businesses. After selling a division, Aardvark Paper Straws, to a strategic buyer in 2018, Precision Products Group was sold to a private equity firm in 2020.
