Transaction Overview
Long Point Capital invested in Saxton through a PE+ESOP Recapitalization structure, where the owners of the Company monetized the majority of the illiquid value contained in the business through a sale to an ESOP, while continuing to retain a significant ownership interest in the Company and maintaining operational control along with the existing management team.
Post-Transaction
Following Long Point Capital’s investment, The Saxton Group continued its strong growth by actively expanding the McAlister's Deli brand and opening as many as 6 new locations each year. Long Point Capital sold its investment back to the Company through a leveraged recapitalization.
