Long Point Capital Enhances Its Team with Two New Vice Presidents; Promotes Norman Scherr and Hires Daniel Ron

Long Point Capital is pleased to announce the promotion of Norman Scherr to Vice President. Norm has been with Long Point since 2010 and has had deep involvement with all aspects of the firm’s operations. In his new role, Norm will continue to source and execute transactions and work closely with Long Point’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining LPC, Norm worked at Harris Williams & Co., a boutique investment banking firm that provides financial advisory services to middle-market companies. Norm received a B.S. in Business Administration from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Long Point is also pleased to announce that Daniel Ron has joined Long Point’s New York office as a Vice President. Daniel will be involved in all aspects of the firm’s business, including sourcing transactions, deal execution and portfolio management. Prior to joining LPC, Daniel worked with Gridiron Capital, a middle market private equity firm. Daniel has also worked with Ford Motor Company in its manufacturing and product development operations. Prior to Ford, Daniel worked in earlier stage technology investing at Investor Growth Capital and Mellon Ventures. Daniel received a B.S. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
